Librarian's comment, amended 95-03-20: I have been advised that there is a method to make this file accessible to Macintosh users. It was given to me as follows:
To translate an autoexecuting file created with PCZIP, Mac users need to use the Mac utility UNZIP 2.0 which is available from AOL's Utility Software Library.
Before using UNZIP, the Mac user needs to set up the extension map for changing .WP5 files into the appropriate text or word processing files. The instructions for how to do this are in the README file which comes with UNZIP.
Using UNZIP, the Mac user opens your CLOSE.EXE file. A list of all the compressed filenames will appear. The user should chose the individual files they want to translate or choose the SELECT ALL button and then choose the EXTRACT button. The program will display error messages (dozens if extracting all files), but the user should keep pressing the CONTINUE button. Although this is annoying, and I don't know what causes the error messages, the resulting files are quite clean except for a single binary box character which appears before each line in the file.
To eliminate this character, the user should use the search and replace feature of their word processor. Copy the character to the clipboard, paste into the FIND field and leave the REPLACE field blank. This action will simply remove all the binary boxes and leaves a beautiful file for use.
